Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the aimode.news website, technology intelligence platform, MCP server, API, and related services (the “Service”) operated by aimode.news LLC. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.
2. Description of Service
aimode.news is a technology intelligence platform that aggregates and publishes news content from a global network of sources. Our Service includes:
- News Aggregation & Translation: Automated content aggregation, multilingual processing, and publication of technology news covering AI, cybersecurity, software, and hardware.
- MCP Server: A Model Context Protocol server enabling AI agents to query our news database programmatically.
- Subscription Tiers: Free (limited access), Pro ($9/month, full access + 1,000 MCP queries/day), Enterprise ($49/month, unlimited API + bulk export).
- Newsletter: Email delivery of curated technology intelligence via Buttondown.
- Comment System: Community discussion powered by Giscus (GitHub-based).
3. Account Registration and User Obligations
3.1 Registration
To access certain features (paid subscriptions, MCP API keys, comments), you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials, including your password and MCP API keys. You must not share your credentials with third parties. Notify us immediately at security@aimode.news of any unauthorized use.
3.3 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service;
- Use automated means beyond the MCP API to access the Service;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or networks connected to it;
- Use the MCP API to redistribute our content in competition with the Service;
- Submit malicious queries or inputs to the MCP server;
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits;
4. Intellectual Property Rights
4.1 Our Content
The Service contains content that belongs to aimode.news LLC, including original editorial content, translations, site design, logos, software, and the compilation of aggregated content, protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
4.2 Source Content
We aggregate and translate content from over 200 third-party news sources. The original content remains the intellectual property of its respective publishers. Our use is based on fair use/fair dealing principles and licensing agreements where applicable.
4.3 User-Generated Content
By posting comments via our Giscus-powered comment system, you grant aimode.news LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content in connection with the Service. You retain ownership.
4.4 License to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.
5. Content Attribution
All translated and aggregated articles include attribution to the original source, including source name, author (when available), and a link to the original article. Our editorial policy requires:
- Clear identification of the original source publication at the top of each article;
- Preservation of the original author’s byline when available;
- A direct hyperlink to the original source article;
- Clear labeling of content as machine-translated;
- No modification of the substantive meaning during translation.

6. Subscription and Payment
6.1 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis through Stripe. All prices are in USD. Prices are subject to change with 30 days’ advance notice.
6.2 Renewal and Cancellation
Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period.
6.3 Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. We may issue refunds on a case-by-case basis for service outages exceeding 24 consecutive hours or billing errors.
7. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL AIMODE.NEWS LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless aimode.news LLC from and against any claims arising out of: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately for breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or abuse of the MCP API. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting privacy@aimode.news. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including Sections 4, 7, 8, and 10.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware. For EU consumers, nothing affects your right to bring proceedings in your country of domicile under the Brussels I Regulation.
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal legal claim, contact legal@aimode.news and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 60 days.
11.2 Arbitration
Unresolved disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules in Wilmington, Delaware, or remotely at your option.
11.3 Class Action Waiver
Any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
12. Corrections Policy
- Factual Errors: Corrected promptly and transparently with a note at the bottom of the affected article.
- Translation Errors: Significant translation errors corrected when identified.
- Retractions: Issued when an article is fundamentally flawed or source content has been retracted.
- Reporting: Report errors to corrections@aimode.news.
